More Fun Times at the US Border

According to the Washington Post, "officers can 'detain' laptops 'for a reasonable period of time' to 'review and analyze information.' This may take place 'absent individualized suspicion.'" I can only imagine how fun that job must be. Though if you haven't backed up (which in this day and age is insane if you're traveling much) this could be quite annoying... If you're going to ask me to give up my laptop for a week, you may as well ask me to give up air for a week. That said, I wonder how often, as a practical matter, this happens.
